A madrassa starts yoga, propagates communal harmony

Karari (Uttar Pradesh) (24, Dec, 2010): Shortly after reciting 'Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim' from the Holy Quran, hundreds of students at a madrassa here fall in line for their first lesson of the day - yoga taught by a Hindu teacher.
Imdadul-Jamia-Uloom Madrassa in Karari town in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district has introduced yoga lessons for its 600-odd students.

"The main objective behind starting the yoga class is to make our students mentally and physically fit," Mohammad Imran, principal of the Islamic seminary, told IANS. Karari is some 250 km from Lucknow.

"Besides enabling the students to counter their physical and mental problems through yoga, our institution, we feel, is also giving a message of communal harmony," he said.

"Yoga is primarily considered an integral part of Hindu philosophy, but I personally believe there's nothing wrong if you follow a practice from any other religion if it's aimed at serving society and betterment of human beings," he added.

The madrassa, which came into existence in mid-1960s, started yoga sessions Dec 19.

"You can ask why we started so late...but you will agree that any decision that is related to religious matters takes time...to take such an initiative is not an easy task," he said.

"I don't want to delve into the past during which we had to face stiff opposition from members of different communities for our decision to introduce yoga. At last, we managed to solicit support from people and the rest is before you," said Imran, alluding to the view expressed by many Muslim religious leaders in India and outside that yoga was unIslamic.
"Normally, yoga sessions are started with the recitation of 'Om', but as all the students in our seminary are Muslims it was decided that the students would say `Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim' before starting yoga sessions," he added.

Starting 6 a.m., a two-hour yoga session is organised in two slots daily at the seminary.

"We have not made it compulsory for students to attend yoga classes but we are getting a massive response from them. A majority of students are from classes equivalent to Class 8 to graduation," said yoga teacher Kuldeep Khare.

"Most of the yoga techniques being imparted to students are aimed at improving their concentration level and de-stress them so they can perform efficiently in whatever task they take up in daily lives," Khare told IANS.

Girls also attend the yoga class. "At present, only girls from junior classes are allowed to attend the yoga class," said Imran.

Locals have hailed the initiative taken by the seminary. "It's good to see an Islamic seminary start yoga sessions like other schools. I believe the move adopted by the seminary will be followed by other Islamic schools in the state," said Chandrakesh Sahu, a retired teacher and resident of the Kokhraj area.

Airing similar views, Prajapalan, owner of a cloth shop in Manjhanpur, said: "In a way, the madrassa is propagating a message of communal harmony by making students learn yoga from a Hindu teacher."

SIO says "Student community must receive the Babri Masjid verdict with peace."

The student and youth community of India must receive the verdict on Ayodhya title suite with peace; said Suhail KK,National President, Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO). Reminding that the Allahabad court verdict on 30th September is not the end of judicial process and the option of appealing to the Supreme Court is still open after the verdict, he urged the student community to respect the court's order even if the verdict goes against them. Since no religion endorses mischief in society, petty politics in the name of religion must be identified. The verdict must neither be celebrated nor be agitated by both the communities. Those who really love the country must obey its rules and regulations. Mr. Suhail also stated that the students and youths of this country had shown the world, the highest level of tolerance at many occasions and that maintenance of peace in such situations are in SIO's prime priority.

SIO believes that education and morality are the two eyes of the students which make him live with dignity and honour.

Class rooms are the places where future leaders are motivated and moulded. But present day students are distracted by the media and external things. Colleges play a vital role in preparing the students for the reconstruction of society. Some of the colleges fail to be the role model for the students. Hence there occur problems for the whole society.

With the increasing privatization of higher education in India, academic institutions in India have been experiencing increasing ragging-related excesses. A report from 2007 highlights 42 instances of physical injury, and reports on ten deaths purportedly the result of ragging in India.

The present education system has some basic flaws. It has merely reduced to assimilation of information and vomitting of the same during exams. It doesn't focus on creating humanitarian values in students.

SIO believes that education needs to possess certain human values to create a ethical society.

SIO conducts anti-ragging forum in many colleges to create awareness among the students regarding ragging. Pamphlets and folders are distributed such anti ragging booth should be formed inside the campuses where awareness can be created for the whole academic year.

SIO works for these educational problems and wanted to create a creative campus in which morality plays vital role.

SIO will focus on changing the basic education system to make it more value-based by way of open houses, face to face debates, panel discussion etc. Each campus will also hold inter-faith dialogues among students.

Astrophysics and 14-year-olds may seem like a ‘paradox’,
but the future and present will co-exist when Hannan Binth Hashim delivers her lecture on astrophysics at Universities of Boston, Chicago, Texas, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and 17 others across the world.
Hannan’s six-monthlong cruise will begin this July.A resident of Kozhikode and a class X student, Hanaan is an aspiring astrophysicist and mathematical researcher. Through her research titled ‘Absolute Theory of Zero’ she is questioning the accuracy of many existing theories like Albert Einstein’s ‘Theory of relativity’ and the Big Bang Theory.
With a mentor in Dr Soumya Vasudevan, a Hind Rattan award winner, Hanaan’s works are being considered for publishing in ‘American Journal of Theoretical Physics’.“Absolute Theory of Zero is a new mathematical system which explains the established theories in a different light.
Through the theory I’m trying to explain that the speed of light is not constant always,” she explains.“Discovering the hidden concepts of universe does not lie only in new scientific theories but also in the unexplained corners of old theories.”
Hanaan developed a keen interest in astrophysics while studying in eighth standard. According to her mother Ayesha, she used to read the books of her elder sister, who was in twelfth then.She is a regular visitor to the observatories at Kozhikode and Bangalore, where she does her research.
Her works have been appreciated by former President A P J Abdul Kalam, scientists at IISc, IIMSc and many leading research institutes around the world including NASA.Hanaan believes that the conditions in Venus are conducive to sustain life.“Scientists should overcome the atmospheric challenges of Venus and should be willing to probe more. Like Mars, which we believe can sustain life, Venus too is a promising planet,” she said and added that the scientific community should accept that the universe is constantly changing.
“My question is why are theories replacing theories. Einstein was right during his time. Today I might prove him wrong and tomorrow someone else will prove me wrong.” Hanaan participated in the NASA space camp which was held last month and said that she was thrilled when a model rocket designed by her was launched.She is gearing up for Siemens Westinghouse Science and Technology competition for high school students in October this year in the US where she is likely to meet US President Barack Obama. “I’m already in touch with President Obama and am looking forward to meeting him. He has always been a source of inspiration for me.
ISRO chairman Madhavan Nair is also a huge support and inspiration,” she said and added that Indian students have huge potential and wants the scientific community in India to set up more institutions to hone the skills of the young talent pool.

As we are all the Indians we should proud to have this “Independent India”…!
Yes, it was a dark session of in India, when it was slaved under the British Empire for along above 200 years. During those days, our Indians were induced to live under the control of Britain. Of course they were experienced some what or a lot of miseries during those days. Then, a blast of freedom awareness was rose against the Britain. For this, all the castes, communities, genders, religions, youths and students were enjoined together. A fire of freedom struggle was sparked among all the Indians. That made the lot of changes among the pupil. For that, Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, etc., were enjoined and they opposed the dominators. Some of freedom fighters such like Bahath singh, Tippu Sulthan, Maruthu brothers etc., were dedicated their lives for freedom. We got the leaders such like Gandhi, Nehru, Abul Kalam Azad etc., to lead this struggle. Finally, we got the freedom on 14th august mid-night of 1947.
So, we are celebrating our independence day for every year. This is our 63rd independence day. We should want to proud to have this “Independent India”
Now, we could breathe the breeze of freedom. We have our own government, institutes, industries etc,. We have some the signs of freedom in our face. But, due to some of the things, still we are dominated (slaved) by the intelligent dominators.
Yes, we are again slaved after the mid-night of 14th August 1947. Because, we are slaved by their culture, education, business, concept and so on. So, our independence hasn’t fulfilled. To get the entire independence we should want to take pledge by standing against the westernization, globalization, commercialization, and so on.
Come on… let us freed our India from imperialists.
History is ready to sculpt our struggle in our milestone of our country.

Some statistics about the Homosexual lifestyle:
* One study reports 70% of homosexuals admitting to having sex only one time with over 50% of their partners (3)
* One study reports that the average homosexual has between 20 and 106 partners per year (6). The average heterosexual has 8 partners in a lifetime
* Many homosexual sexual encounters occur while drunk, high on drugs, or in an orgy setting (7)
* Many homosexuals don't pay heed to warnings of their lifestyles: "Knowledge of health guidelines was quite high, but this knowledge had no relation to sexual behavior" (16)
* Homosexuals got homosexuality removed from the list of mental illnesses in the early 70s by storming the annual American Psychiatric Association (APA) conference on successive years. "Guerrilla theater tactics and more straight-forward shouting matches characterized their presence" (2). Since homosexuality has been removed from the APA list of mental illnesses, so has pedophilia (except when the adult feels "subjective distress") (27)
* Homosexuals account for 3-4% of all gonorrhea cases, 60% of all syphilis cases, and 17% of all hospital admissions (other than for STDs) in the United States (5). They make up only 1-2% of the population
* Homosexuals live unhealthy lifestyles, and have historically accounted for the bulk of syphilis, gonorrhea, Hepatitis B, the "gay bowel syndrome" (which attacks the intestinal tract), tuberculosis and cytomegalovirus (27)

* Dr. Daniel Capron, a practicing psychiatrist, says, "Homosexuality by definition is not healthy and wholesome. The homosexual person, at best, will be unhappier and more unfulfilled than the sexually normal person" (10). Homosexuals prey on children.

* There is a notable homosexual group, consisting of thousands of members, known as the North American Man and Boy Love Association ( NAMBLA). This is a child molesting homosexual group whose cry is "SEX BEFORE 8 BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE." This group can be seen marching in most major homosexual parades across the United States
* Homosexuals commit more than 33% of all reported child molestations in the United States, which, assuming homosexuals make up 2% of the population, means that 1 in 20 homosexuals is a child molestor, while 1 in 490 heterosexuals is a child molestor (19)
* 73% of all homosexuals have had sex with boys under 19 years of age (9)
* Many homosexuals admit that they are pedophiles: "The love between men and boys is at the foundation of homosexuality" (22)
* Because homosexuals can't reproduce naturally, they resort to recruiting children. Homosexuals can be heard chanting "TEN PERCENT IS NOT ENOUGH, RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT" in their homosexual parades. A group called the "Lesbian Avengers" prides itself on trying to recruit young girls. They print "WE RECRUIT" on their literature. Some other homosexuals aren't as overt about this, but rather try to infiltrate society and get into positions where they will have access to the malleable minds of young children (e.g., the clergy, teachers, Boy Scout leaders, etc.) (8). The homosexual agenda.

* The homosexual agenda includes desensitizing the public: "The first order of business is desensitization of the American public concerning gays and gay rights.....To desensitize the public is to help it view homosexuality with indifference instead of with keen emotion. Ideally, we would have straights register differences in sexual preferences the way they register different tastes for ice cream or sports games....At least in the beginning, we are seeking public desensitization and nothing more. We do not need and cannot expect a full 'appreciation' or 'understanding' of homosexuality from the average American. You can forget about trying to persuade the masses that homosexuality is a good thing. But if only you can get them to think that it is just another thing...then your battle for legal and social rights is virtually won" (25)
* Part of the homosexual agenda is to get the public to affirm their filthy lifestyle, as one homosexual admitted in the October 1987 homosexual rally on Washington: "We are no longer seeking just a right to privacy and a protection from wrong. We also have a right -- as heterosexual Americans already have -- to see government and society affirm our lives" (27)
* Part of the homosexual agenda is to turn people from Christianity: "The teaching that only male-female sexual activity within the bounds and constraints of marriage is the only acceptable form should be reason enough for any homosexual to denounce the Christian religion" (1)
* Homosexuals knowingly lied (and still lie) about the 10% figure (i.e., homosexuals make up 10% of the population). As Tom Stoddard (formerly of the Lambda Legal Defense Fund) said, "We used that figure when most gay people were entirely hidden to try to create an impression of our numerousness" (17).

The true number of homosexuals.

* The Kinsey study of 1948, which homosexuals often cite to say that 10% of the population is homosexual, actually says that only 4% of the population is EXCLUSIVELY homosexual. This study involved a disproportionate number of people who had been in jail for sex crimes (hardly a random sample of the population). Kinsey also did perverse studies involving young boys and pedophiles. Information on Kinsey
* Current research shows that the true percentage of homosexuals is in the 1-2% range (15,23,26,28). Consider how small this number is when compared to most of the numbers above.

Homosexuals aren't discriminated against in employment, so why should they be a protected class?

* The average yearly income of a homosexual is $55,430.00 (most of which is disposable because no children to take care of!). The average of the general population is $32,144.00. The average of blacks is $12,166.00 (24)
* 59.6% of homosexuals are college graduates. 18.0% of the general population are college graduates (24). Too bad they aren't smart enough to listen to God. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:22)
* 49.0% of homosexuals hold professional/managerial positions. 15.9% of the general population hold such positions (24). Where's the job discrimination?

Sexual Orientation
• A phrase that has come up recently in this earth is "sexual orientation." This is a phrase made up by homosexuals to try to make themselves look less filthy than they really are. The purpose of the phrase is to take the spotlight from what these perverts do, and put it on the notion that they are just poor, mistreated people, who simply are attracted to members of the same sex - as if they aren't engaging in activity forbidden by God Almighty. "Sexual orientation," as used today, has nothing to do with sexual activity (yeah, right), but only refers to who or what a particular person is attracted to. If you think that people of other "sexual orientations" are just fine, let's see what other "sexual orientations" you would necessarily have to accept as wholesome and pure. If you're not going to discriminate based on "sexual orientation", then you must not discriminate against any of the following. Bestiality, pedophile, necrophilia., exhibitionism, fetishism, frotteurism, masochism, sadism, transvestitism, voyeurism. If you discriminate against any of these, you're a hypocrite. These "sexual orientations" are generally known as "paraphilias", and are mental disorders - just like homosexuality used to be (29).

Legalising the Illegal Act...!

I was surprised and highly disappointed by the verdict of Delhi High Court, one of the highest houses of justice in India, to decriminalize homosexuality in the Indian capital. The decision, which is addressed as one of the groundbreaking decisions in the name of freedom and equal rights to the homosexuals, is actually against the tradition and culture of the country. The agenda pushed by the gay lobby encourages behavior deemed unacceptable by every major religion, by the vast majority of our society, and by nature’s evolutionary track itself. They already have the right to participate in aberrant behavior, but that isn’t enough. They want us to validate something we consider wicked.
Homosexuality is an aberration of the humanity. It is a quirk of nature, dehumanizing and reprehensible under natural moral law. Homosexuals, sodomites, or any other name which is used to call them, are not gay (which means happy), talented, special, or even gifted. What homosexuals and homosexuality are, is an evil abomination in the eyes of God, a blemish on the face of God's creation.
Homosexuality is not truly a private issue that affects only those willfully involved. But it is an issue that negatively affects the whole of society.Once decriminalized, they will gradually endeavor to shape society in such a fashion to legitimize their evil and extend to themselves the same rights that society should only extend to worthy citizens. They will seek employment in key fields of society and positions of public trust so as to enable them to promote their evil and nasty agenda. They will become doctors, psychologists, scientists, senators, members of Parliament, judges, etc. Once they attain key positions, they will seek to remove all stigma against homosexuality and seek to redefine, reeducate (deceive) and reshape society to accept their depravity.
The Man has not been given the authority and power to define the nature of crime. That authority is rightfully reserved only by God. Therefore, the responsibility all mankind has is to embrace laws in accord with the Laws of God. The reason God is the rightful One to define the nature of crime is because He is the Creator of all mankind. Therefore it is God who can best define what is evil for man. It is the Almighty God, the One to whom all mankind is responsible.
Homosexuality is considered as one of the most abominable sins in Islam. It involves immorality that goes against the wisdom of God's creation and commandment, for homosexuality involves innumerable evil and harms. The Qur'an cites the story of the "people of Lut" (also known as the Sodomites) who were destroyed by the wrath of Allah because they engaged in homosexual acts.
Not only the act is immoral, it brings a lot of medical problems with it. The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (http://cdc.gov/) report that men who engage in homosexual behavior are 860% more likely to contract a sexually transmitted disease (STD), increasing up to 500% their risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. Oxford University's International Journal of Epidemiology (http://ije.oxfordjournals.org/) reports that the life expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men.

According to me this legalization may be lead our country towards a big STRAY.
